Playa de Fornells
The charming resort of Fornells is a famous and very picturesque fishing village situated on the north coast of Menorca only a short drive away from another of our resorts, Son Parc. Set at the head of a long and sheltered inlet from which the village derives its name, it is particularly suitable for sailing and windsurfing. There is plenty of opportunity to try both
these activities, with numerous schools located in the area.
Fishing boats jostle in the small palm fringed harbour around which are gathered the many cafes and sea food restaurants for which Fornells is justly noted. Look out for the Es Pla, right at the water's edge and where King Juan Carlos is known to sail to sample his own Menorcan favourite, Calderata de Langosta, a delicious local seafood casserole made with
lobster. |
