Cala'n porter
Just over ten kilometres from Mahon airport on the southern coast Cal'n Porter (pronounced 'cal-en-port-air') is the oldest seaside resort in Menorca yet still retains a pleasant village atmosphere.
In a truly spectacular setting on top of tall limestone cliffs indented with coves, Cal'n Porter has something to satisfy most tastes but is especially popular with families and couples.
The beautiful beach is wide and deep with pale gold sand and is protected on three sides by high cliffs. It is reached by steps from the town or there is a less direct route by road which winds down to a car parking area. The beach offers safe bathing and being large rarely seems overcrowded. |
